Australian and Queensland cricket star Greg Ritchie played his now famous (or infamous) comic role in his typical front foot style. There were no defensive prods in a swashbuckling innings dominated by lusty drives.
The Bernborough Club was delighted that stellar Victorian jockey Craig Williams was able to find a window of time to be a wonderfully informative guest speaker.
He had already won the Doomben 10,000 on Bella Nipotina and ahead lay a Tatt’s Tiara triumph for the duo.`

The 2024 Stradbroke result in which Steffi Magnetica (Zac Lloyd) edged out Bella Nipotina (Craig Williams) rounded off a remarkable double for Bernborough Club attendees.
Winning trainer Bjorn Baker was overseas and was represented at the trophy presentation by Jim Clarke. Bernborough Club stalwart Micky Dolan entertained Baker and Clarke at the May luncheon in the Guineas Room at Eagle Farm when Bjorn was a guest speaker.
